Nestled in the heart of The Purbecks The Halfway Inn is steeped in tradition. Parts of the pub date back some 400 years. We offer all the charms of an Olde-Worlde Dorset Inn.
The Halfway Inn is one of the top places to enjoy freshly cooked food at its best. Our ever changing menu reflects the fresh meat and fish available each day, and covers everything from ribeye steak to homemade pie, and our wonderful Sri Lanken curry.
To finish off your meal why not try one of our homemade desserts, lovingly prepared.
Main Menu
Starters on the summer menu run from beetroot hummus to south coast prawn pil pil, with vegan and gluten free options marked throughout. Mains cover steaks, burgers, salads and pub cooking, including fish and chips made with local fish. Much of it is made in house, from the tartare sauce to the peri peri marinade.
Lunch Menu
Lunch runs Monday to Saturday until 5pm. Sandwiches come on white or wholemeal with salad and crisps, from south coast prawns and our own marie sauce to brie, bacon and cranberry, and each one can be adapted for gluten free. There are pizzas as well, including hot honey and nduja, and both sections have a vegan option.
